Are You Ready To Become a Successful man or woman? 5 Steps to Success
question to yourself:
AM I READY TO BE SUCCESSFUL PERSON?
Sounds ridiculous but many of us love the sidelines
and comfort zones. If you are engaged and
ready to make this happen then read on.
Otherwise this is just another fun read that
will do nothing for you at the end of the day.
Okay! If so here are some little tips which has been helping me as a person.. Happy reading!
1) "FIND YOUR PASSION"
Do what you love? Do what comes naturally.
Inspiration is an aroma when inhaled gives life
and energy that drives you forward.
Committing the better part of your awake
hours of the day to a job or business venture
is a serious investment. If you were taking
your hard earned cash to buy stocks, bonds or
shares in a company, you would go above and
beyond to research and even leverage your
arsenal of experts to advise you accordingly.
So why would you just send out 100 resumes to
anyone who is hiring? Why would you start a
business venture just because…
2) "FEED YOUR POTENTIAL"
Hmm.. So you love to cook? As a profession driven
individual you can become the next iron chef.
If you possess the entrepreneurial spirit you
can be a few years way from launching your
own chain of niche restaurants. A culinary
expert isn't born overnight. You have to be
prepared to immerse yourself into the
industry, build your network of professional
resources and pursue the necessary training
and certifications to qualify yourself for the
long road ahead. To be the best you have to do
more than the rest. Volunteer at events, intern
at top restaurants and seek out other
development opportunities above what your job
offers.
3) "FIRE YOUR FEARS"
Don't roll your eyes. I know this is a tough one.
After all they have been with you most of your
life. The upside is a two week notice is not
required. You are on a new path and these are
distractions and obstacles that give you every
reason why you can't. Adopt a 'Can Do'
attitude. It's not enough to believe in yourself.
You must exercise that faith in the face of
every challenge – every disappointment – every
setback. You're grown enough now to recognize
it won't be a bed of roses but anything at
these stakes is worth the fight.
4) "FUEL YOUR SOUL"
You are beginning an exciting journey. An
important first step is to prepare not only
yourself but those around you. If you're
married, that includes your spouse. If you're a
parent, you must consider your children. If you
are a community leader, your organization
needs to be brought into the loop. You want
their support and you need their
understanding and accommodation as you
might not be available as you once used to be.
It's also important to pull yourself away from
time to time and do something fun and
relaxing and refreshing. Do something that re-
energizes you every week before you plunge
ahead. Whether its rock climbing, a weekend
road trip or just a long soak in bubble bath,
find some 'Me' time.
... And lastly
5) "FOCUS ON RESULTS"
Only the mediocre cries, "Well I tried my
best, I did what I could, I gave it my best
shot, it wasn't meant to be." Effort is
recognized but cannot be measured. Hone in on
what went well and what didn't as well as what
you can do differently going forward to
improve your career or business performance.
If you remain focused on what was achieved
you can revise and tweak your efforts to
achieve measurable and more desirable results.
Remember failure is a part of a successful
destiny. It should not define or sum up who
you are and what you have accomplished.
